BIBLE STUDY OUTLINE
HOW TO BE FILLED WITH SPIRITUAL BLESSING (7)
TOPIC - BE HOLY AND RIGHTEOUS
Text - 1 Corinthians 3:16,17b,James5:16-18
KEY VERSE -  Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?  the temple of God is holy, which temple you are (1 Corinthians 3:16, 17b).

INTRODUCTION
Holiness has to do with the condition of the heart, righteousness has to do with right actions and a right standing with God. Holiness is birthed out of sanctificationseparateness from the world, and righteousness is birthed out of holiness. Because God is holy, Jesus Christ is holy, the Holy Spirit is holy, the Scriptures tell us that we should also be holy, or we shall not see the Lord. And we are to not only desire holiness but also to pursue itrun after it until we catch it. Pursue  holiness, without which no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14) He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, Be holy, for I am holy (1 Peter 1:15-16). Yet many today seem to believe that they can draw a continual stream of power from God without being holy in their spirit, soul, and body, and righteous in their actions. But it has never been so. Throughout the long history of the Church, and back through the dark years to creation, the degree of power flowing from God through one of His children has always been directly related to the degree of that persons holiness and righteousness. It has always been so and always will be so. Gods unchanging holy nature requires it. Let's trust the Lord to give us insight as we study this subject closely.

THE TEMPLE OF THE LIVING GOD
you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people. Therefore Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you. I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the LORD Almighty. Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God (2 Corinthians 6:16-7:1).

GODS HOLY MOUNTAIN
No matter where we are at this moment, no matter what our present level of spiritual power, no matter how strong our current contact with the dynamic energy of God, there is a mountain we can climb to the throne of God. Each day, through dedication and determination, holiness and righteousness, we can climb higher than we did the day beforefor our sake and the sake of the sick and oppressed. Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive blessing from the LORD, And righteousness from the God of his salvation (Psalm 24:3-5). Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God (2 Corinthians 7:1).

 HOLINESS TO THE LORD
Holiness is the character of God. The very substance of His being and essence of His nature is purity. The purpose of God in the salvation of humanity is to produce in human beings a similar holiness, a radiant purity like that of God Himself. Do not think to come within the court of God with stain upon your garments. Do not think that heaven can smile upon a nature fouled through evil contact. Do not think that Christ can dwell in temples seared by flames of hate. No! The heart must first be purged by holy fire and washed from every stain by cleansing blood.   the blood of Jesus Christ His Son [continually] cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7b). think that you will attain the highest in God until within your own soul there is a heavenly longing to be like Him who gave His life for us.
Discuss the following scriptures with regards to the subject matter; Isa 35:8, Jer 2:3, Oba 1:17, 1Ch 16:29, Rom 6:19, 2Co 7:1,  1Th 4:7, Heb 12:14.

CONCLUSION
Christians live in the glory. Christians live in the power of God, in the eternal presence of God. And it is that consciousness of God and union with Him that gives you strength and assurance and confidence and helps you to go on your way regardless of conditions and circumstances, so that you are not being governed by this thing or that, but by the faith of God. Instead of conditions controlling you, you are controlling conditions. That is the power of God. God is endeavoring by His Spirit in these days to lift the souls of Christians into a high place, a holy life, a heavenly state where they walk day by day and hour by hour in the heavenly consciousness of the presence of Christ

PRAYER - O Lord baptise me with the spirit of Holiness and righteousness.

SALVATION : Lord Jesus, I confess and repent of all my sins, I accept your free gift of salvation, from today be my Lord and savior.
