TEACH NO OTHER DOCTRINE: (FALSE DOCTRINE)
Apostle Paul urges Timothy not to leave Ephesus, but to stay there for the purpose of sustaining the true doctrine of Christ in the body of Christ. He said "Command/charge certain men not to teach false doctrine any longer"- In view of this statement, Apostle Paul noticed that false doctrine is gradually taking over the land of Ëphesus, and He realized the urgent need for someone that has a balance knowledge of Gods Word (A Timothy) to raise and deliver certain men & the land entirely from this snare (false doctrine) of the kingdom of darkness. Imagine what would become of any land that is filled with false doctrine: (see. Gen 18:20-21, 19:4-11, 1 King 18:19-24, Act 8: 4-25). Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed by God because of the people evil practices, Ahab & Jezebel led the children of Israel into Baal worship. Simon deceived the whole Samaria into false believe until God sent Philip to liberate. The people through the gospel of Christ.
The church at this time must be sensitive to know the extent to which false doctrine is growing in her immediate environment, and trust the Holy Spirit to equip her in tackling this issue.
